2020  Wollongong National Dancesport Championship

presented by
Dance Move Engage

As President of Dance Move Engage (DME), it gives me great pleasure to once again present this spectacular and glamorous National event for every Australian DanceSport enthusiast's calendar.

It is DME's hope that every competitor travelling from within NSW, interstate or internationally will be able to appreciate the extent we, as a team, have gone to in order to fulfil expectations and to continually strive to improve this National Championship.

We have moved the Teacher/Student events to Sunday but have kept the Pro/Am events on Saturday. This

allows us to showcase the ProAm and Professional events, as well as enabling them to compete on Sunday with more students rather than all on one day. We have also added two new events to the program: a Formation Teams event on the Saturday and American Smooth in the Teacher/Student division on the Sunday.

As an organisation, Dance Move Engage has always prioritised the development of the DanceSport industry, focusing initially on grass roots competitions, ArtSport by RayRose Champions of the Future League. In this timeframe, our supporting studios and competitors have advanced and so we added graded and open Amateur as well as

Teacher & Student events and listened to the needs our growing community. The 2019 Wollongong National DanceSport Championship was the natural progression for Dance Move Engage as an organisation to expand to a National stage, taking the same care in programming, styling and presenting to ensure the best outcome

for all involved and it was a great success.

We look forward to seeing many of you in June 2020 and you can secure your spot by ordering your tickets (details coming soon) and entering (entries will be open from February 2020 to 24th May 2020) via dancesport.org.au.

The countdown to Saturday 27th and Sunday 28h

June is on!

In the meantime, enjoy your dancing.
